Korean Lash Lift (and Lash Lift + Tint): What to Know Before You Book

Your own lashes, curled from the root for 4–6 weeks, with nothing to fill. Here is how the Korean Lash Lift works, who it is for, and when the tint is worth the extra $5.

A Korean Lash Lift curls and lifts your own natural lashes from the root, so you wake up with an open, mascara-ready look for 4–6 weeks — no extensions, no fills. At Eybonee Spa in Thousand Oaks it is $80 and takes about 1 hour. Add a tint for $85 (about 1 hour 15 minutes) if your lashes are light or you want a built-in mascara effect.

I'm Eyleen, and the lash lift is the service I recommend most often to women who tell me, "I want my lashes to look better, but I don't want to think about them." Here is exactly what it is, who it suits (and who it doesn't), and how to decide whether the tint is worth adding.

What is a Korean Lash Lift?

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that reshapes the lashes you already have. Nothing is glued on. We gently soften your lashes, set them over a small silicone shield in an upward curve, and then lock that new shape in place. The Korean technique focuses on lifting from the root, so the result is an open, upward look rather than a tight, "permed" curl — like your lashes on their best mascara day, minus the mascara.

Because it works with 100% of your natural lashes, there is nothing to fall out and nothing to fill. As your lashes shed and new ones grow in over the following weeks, the lift relaxes gradually instead of dropping all at once.

Lash lift or lash lift + tint: when to add the tint

The tint is a professional lash dye applied in the same appointment, right after the lift is set. It darkens every lash from root to tip. Honestly, not everyone needs it. This is how I help clients decide:

ServicePriceAppointmentBest for
Korean Lash Lift$80About 1 hourNaturally dark lashes that need curl and lift
Korean Lash Lift + Tint$85About 1h 15minLight lashes, lighter tips, or a true no-mascara look
💡 Quick check at home: look at your bare lashes close to a mirror, in daylight. If the last third of each lash almost disappears, you have lighter tips — and the tint will make your lashes look noticeably longer, simply because you will finally see their full length.

Who a lash lift is for (and who it isn't)

A lift is a great fit if you:

To be honest, a lift is not the right choice if:

What the appointment is like, step by step

  1. A quick look and a chat. I check the length and direction of your lashes and we talk about how much lift you want. Your lash length decides the size of the shield.
  2. Cleansing. Lashes must be completely free of makeup and oil so the solutions work evenly.
  3. Pads and shields. A soft pad protects your lower lashes and a small silicone shield sits on your upper lid.
  4. Lifting. I comb your lashes up onto the shield section by section, so every lash sits straight and separated. Then the lifting solution goes on, timed to the thickness of your lashes.
  5. Setting. A second solution locks the new shape in place.
  6. Tint, if you booked it. The color goes on while your lashes are still on the shield.
  7. Finish. I clean everything off, apply a conditioning step and brush your lashes into place. Then you open your eyes and see them.

Your eyes stay closed the whole time, and most clients find it relaxing. You should never feel burning. If anything stings, tell me right away and I will stop and fix it.

Aftercare and when to come back

At $80 every 4–6 weeks, with no maintenance appointments in between, the lift is one of the best-value services in the lash world.

FAQ

How long does a Korean lash lift last?

Usually 4–6 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. The curl relaxes gradually as lashes shed and new ones grow in, and there are no maintenance appointments in between: when it grows out, you book the lift again.

Should I get my lash lift with tint?

Add the tint ($85 instead of $80) if your lashes are light, have lighter tips, or you want to skip mascara for weeks. If your lashes are already dark from root to tip, the lift alone is usually enough.

How much is a lash lift in Thousand Oaks at Eybonee Spa?

The Korean Lash Lift is $80 and takes about 1 hour. The Korean Lash Lift + Tint is $85 and takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Prices are published online, with no packages or memberships.

Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Avoid waterproof formulas, which are hard to remove without rubbing. Most clients find they no longer need mascara, especially if they added the tint.

Can I get a lash lift if my lashes are short?

A lift works with the lashes you have: it makes short lashes look longer by curling them upward, but it cannot add length. If your lashes are very short or sparse, extensions will give a more visible result.
