How long should my hair be before waxing?
About a quarter of an inch — roughly the length of a grain of rice, which is usually two to three weeks of growth after shaving. Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip, so the result is patchy.
How long does waxing last?
Most clients stay smooth for three to four weeks. With regular waxing the hair grows back finer and sparser over time, because the follicle is being emptied rather than the hair being cut at the surface the way a razor does.
Does waxing hurt?
There is brief discomfort, but a gentle technique and quality wax keep it short. It also gets easier with every visit: regrowth comes in finer, so there is less to remove each time.
