Face waxing at Eybonee Spa in Thousand Oaks costs $15–$25 per area and takes 10–15 minutes: eyebrow wax and shaping $15, upper lip and chin $15, full face $25 and hairline $25. Results usually last 3–4 weeks, and with regular visits the regrowth tends to come back finer.
I'm Eyleen. Face waxing is the quickest service on our menu, and one of the ones clients thank me for most — because the face is the first thing everyone sees, and a clean brow or a smooth upper lip changes how your whole look reads. Here is what each option includes, who should wait before booking, and how the appointment goes.
Face waxing options, prices and time
| Service | What it includes | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eyebrow Wax and Shaping | A shape mapped to your face; strays removed under, above and between the brows | $15 | 15 min |

| Full Face | Cheeks, upper lip, chin and sideburns (brows are booked separately) | $25 | 15 min |

Each area is priced on its own, and the whole waxing price list is published — no packages, no memberships, no surprises at checkout.
Eyebrow wax and shaping: what "shaping" really means
A good brow wax is not about removing as much as possible. I look at your face, your natural arch and the way your brows grow, and I map the shape before any wax goes on. Then I remove only what does not belong: the hairs under the arch, the ones between the brows, and the strays that blur the edges. The goal is crisp edges and a natural shape that still looks like your brows.
Honest note: if you have over-plucked, I can't create hair that isn't there. In that case the best plan is to let your brows grow for a few weeks, then shape them gradually over a couple of visits. I would rather tell you that than take off more and leave you with thin brows you regret.
Upper lip, chin and full face
The upper lip and chin are the classic quick fix: 10 minutes, $15, and no more shadow in photos or daily tweezing. If what bothers you is the soft peach fuzz across your cheeks and jaw, the full face wax covers cheeks, upper lip, chin and sideburns in one 15-minute visit. Many clients notice that their skin looks brighter and that foundation goes on smoother afterward, because there is no fuzz for makeup to cling to.
Hairline wax
The hairline wax cleans up the edge of your hairline, your sideburns and the nape of your neck. It is for you if you wear your hair up a lot — slick ponytails, buns, braids — and want that line to look crisp and even every day.
Who face waxing is for (and when you should wait)
Face waxing suits almost anyone who is tired of tweezing, threading at home or shaving facial hair. But the skin on your face is delicate, and some situations make waxing a bad idea. Please do not book a face wax if:
- You use retinoids on your face (tretinoin, Retin-A, adapalene or strong retinol creams). They thin the top layer of skin, and wax can lift it. Pause them for about a week before your appointment, and ask your dermatologist if you are not sure.
- You are taking isotretinoin (Accutane) or stopped recently. The standard guideline in our industry is to wait at least six months after your last dose before waxing anywhere.
- Your skin is sunburned, peeling or irritated, or you had a chemical peel, laser or microdermabrasion on the area recently.
- You have a cold sore, active breakout, cut or rash in the area you want waxed.
Not sure? Tell me what products you use when you arrive. That conversation takes 30 seconds and protects your skin.
What the appointment is like
- A quick check. We talk about what you want and I look at your skin and hair growth.
- Cleansing. I remove any makeup and oil so the wax grips the hair, not the skin.
- Waxing in small sections. Wax goes on in the direction of hair growth and comes off fast, in the opposite direction, while I hold the skin firm. Small sections mean more precision and less discomfort.
- Detail work. I tweeze any last strays, especially on brows.
- Soothing finish and mirror. A calming product on the skin, and you check the result before you leave.
Does it hurt? A quick sting on each pull that fades in seconds. Brows and upper lip are small areas, so it's over before you have time to think about it.
Aftercare and when to come back
- Some redness is normal and usually fades within a few hours.
- For 24 hours: skip makeup on the waxed area if you can, and avoid sun, saunas, steam and touching the skin.
- For 48 hours: no exfoliants, acids or retinoids on the area.
- Don't tweeze between visits if you can avoid it — it throws off the growth cycle and the next shaping.
- Come back every 3–4 weeks to keep the shape and the results consistent.

FAQ
How much does eyebrow waxing cost in Thousand Oaks at Eybonee Spa?
Eyebrow wax and shaping is $15 and takes about 15 minutes. Upper lip and chin together are $15 (10 minutes), full face is $25 and hairline is $25 (15 minutes each). Each area is priced separately.
Does facial hair grow back thicker after waxing?
No. Waxing removes hair from the root instead of cutting it at the surface, so regrowth does not come back thicker. With regular waxing it usually comes back finer and softer over time.
Can I get my face waxed if I use retinol or tretinoin?
Not while you are using it. Retinoids thin the top layer of the skin and wax can lift it. Pause them for about a week before facial waxing, and check with your dermatologist. If you take isotretinoin (Accutane), the standard guideline is to wait at least six months after your last dose.
What does the full face wax include?
Cheeks, upper lip, chin and sideburns, in about 15 minutes for $25. Eyebrows are a separate service ($15).
How often should I wax my eyebrows?
Every 3–4 weeks keeps the shape consistent. Try not to tweeze in between, so the hairs grow on the same cycle and the next shaping is cleaner.
