A lash fill replaces the extensions that have shed or grown out, so your set looks full again without starting from zero. At Eybonee Spa in Thousand Oaks the price depends on how many weeks have passed since your last appointment: from $40 at 1 week, $80 at 2 weeks and $100 at 3 weeks for a Classic set. After 3 weeks, there is usually too little left to fill, and a new full set gives a better result.
I'm Eyleen. Fills are the appointment I do most, and also the one with the most questions: why the price changes, how often to come, and whether I will touch a set someone else did. Here are the honest answers.
What a lash fill is (and why you need one)
Every extension is attached to one natural lash. Your natural lashes shed on their own cycle — a few every day — and each one takes its extension with it. That is normal, and it is the reason no set lasts forever. At the same time, the extensions that are still on keep moving away from the lid as your lashes grow, and some start to twist or point in odd directions.
A fill fixes both things: I remove the grown-out extensions, apply new ones on the new natural lashes that have come in, and rebalance the whole lash line so the shape and density look like the day you got your set. If you want to understand normal shedding versus a retention problem, read why lash extensions fall out fast.
Why the price depends on weeks since your last appointment
It is simple: the more time has passed, the more lashes there are to replace, and the longer you are in the chair. So instead of one flat price, you pay for the work your set actually needs. The sooner you come in, the less each appointment costs.
| Style | 1 week | 2 weeks | 3 weeks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic, Love Hawaiian, Wet | $40 | $80 | $100 |
| Hybrid, Volume, Anime | $45 | $90 | $110 |
| Mega Volume | $50 | $100 | $130 |
| Time in the chair | About 1h | About 1h 30min | About 2h |
An honest bit of math: per appointment, sooner is cheaper. Per week, it evens out. A Classic fill every week or every 2 weeks works out to about $40 a week; every 3 weeks, about $33 a week. So choose your rhythm by how you like your lashes to look, not only by price. Come every 1–2 weeks and your set always looks freshly done; come at 3 weeks and you save a little, but the last few days before your fill will look thinner.
What if more than 3 weeks have passed?
Past three weeks, or with less than 40% of your set left, it is already a new full set (from $120): a new application is needed. If you are close to the line, let us know when you book and we will help you pick.
Can I get a fill if my set was done at another salon?
No. Fills at Eybonee Spa are only for sets I applied. If you come with lashes from another studio, I remove those extensions (removal $15) and apply a new full set (from $120). Mention it when you book so the right appointment and enough time are reserved.
Who a fill is for (and who it isn't)
- A fill is for you if you have an Eybonee Spa set from the last 1–3 weeks and still have at least 40% of your extensions.
- It is not for you if you have less than 40% of your set left or your lashes were done at another studio (that is a new set), or if your eyes are red, irritated or infected. In that case, wait until they are fully calm before any lash work.
What the fill appointment is like
- Come with clean lashes. No mascara or eye makeup that day, and wash your lashes in the days before.
- Check. I look at retention, growth and anything that needs attention.
- Deep clean. A thorough cleanse of the lash line is included in every fill.
- Remove grown-out extensions. The ones that have grown too far from the lid or twisted come off, gently and professionally.
- Refill and rebalance. New extensions in your same style go on the new natural lashes, one by one, and I even out the shape across both eyes.
- Brush and mirror. You leave with a set that looks like day one.
Like a full set, a fill is painless. Eyes closed, pads under your eyes, and many clients nap.
Aftercare between fills
- Keep them dry for the first 24–48 hours after the fill, while the new adhesive cures.
- Wash them every 2–3 days with an oil-free lash cleanser.
- Brush them daily with a clean spoolie.
- Use only oil-free products around your eyes.
- Sleep on your back or side, never face-down.
