Short answer: Volume lash extensions place a small, handmade fan of ultra-fine extensions on each of your natural lashes. The result is a full, fluffy, soft-glam lash line that looks "done" from the moment you wake up, with no mascara. At our Thousand Oaks studio a Volume full set is $130 and takes about 2.5 hours, and fills start at $45. It is the style I suggest when someone tells me, "I want my lashes to look full, but I still want them to feel soft."
What Volume lash extensions are
In a Classic set, each natural lash gets one extension. Volume works differently: I pick up several ultra-fine extensions at once, open them into a tiny fan with my tweezers, and place that fan on a single natural lash. Because each fiber is so fine, the whole fan stays light, but it covers far more space than one classic extension. That is where the fullness comes from.
The fans are not pre-made. I build each one by hand, in the moment, for the natural lash it is going on. A strong, healthy lash can carry a slightly fuller fan; a fine or young lash gets a smaller, lighter one. That custom work is what makes a volume set look soft and even instead of clumpy, and it is also how we protect your natural lashes.
What the finished look is like
Think soft and full rather than spiky. A Volume set fills in the gaps along your lash line, darkens the base so your eyes look more defined, and has a feathery, fluffy texture when you look closely. It reads as glamorous in photos and at night, but it is still comfortable to wear to work, to the gym or to school drop-off. We adjust length and curl to your eye shape, so a Volume set can range from "polished" to "full glam" depending on what you ask for.
Who Volume is a great fit for
- You want visible fullness every day and are ready to give up mascara and eyeliner on your lash line.
- Your natural lashes are sparse or have gaps, and a Classic set would still look thin.
- You tried Classic or Hybrid and loved it, but you keep wishing it were fuller.
- You want a set that looks amazing in photos without looking like strip lashes.
Who might be happier with something else
Honesty first: if you want people to wonder whether you are wearing extensions at all, Volume is more than you need, and a Natural Classic set will feel more like you. If you are torn between natural and full, the Hybrid mixes classic lashes with volume fans and sits right in the middle. On the other end, if you want the darkest, densest lash line we offer, that is Mega Volume, our most dramatic set, at $150. And if you sleep face-down every night or rub your eyes a lot, know that fluffy fans get crushed and twisted more easily, so your aftercare will matter more with Volume than with Classic.
Your Volume appointment, step by step
- Consultation (10-15 minutes). We talk about how full you want to go, look at your eye shape and check the health of your natural lashes. We choose length and curl together, and you know the price before we start.
- Prep. I cleanse your lashes so the adhesive bonds properly and place soft gel pads over your lower lashes.
- Application (about 2 hours). I build each fan by hand and attach it to one isolated natural lash, never gluing lashes together. You lie back with your eyes closed; there is no pulling or stinging, and plenty of clients fall asleep.
- Reveal and aftercare. I brush everything out, you see your new lashes in the mirror, and we go over how to keep the fans fluffy at home.

Price and time
| Service | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Volume full set | $130 | 2h 30min |
| Volume fill at 1 week | $45 | 1h |
| Volume fill at 2 weeks | $90 | 1h 30min |
| Volume fill at 3 weeks | $110 | 2h |
Fill prices depend on how many weeks it has been since your last appointment: the sooner you come in, the less it costs, because there are fewer fans to rebuild.
Aftercare and when to come back
- Keep your lashes dry for the first 24-48 hours while the adhesive cures.
- Wash them every 2-3 days with an oil-free lash cleanser, pat them gently and let them finish drying in the air.
- Brush them gently each morning with a clean spoolie to fluff the fans back into place.
- Skip oil-based makeup removers and mascara; you will not need mascara anyway.
- Book a Volume fill every 2-3 weeks. Coming from another studio? We remove those extensions (removal $15) and apply a new set.

FAQ
What are volume lash extensions?
Volume extensions are small fans of several ultra-fine extensions, made by hand and placed on one natural lash each. They create a full, fluffy, soft-glam lash line. At Eybonee Spa in Thousand Oaks a Volume full set is $130 and takes about 2.5 hours.
Are volume lashes heavy or bad for my natural lashes?
They should not be. The fibers are ultra-fine, and each fan is built for the natural lash it goes on, so stronger lashes get fuller fans and finer lashes get lighter ones. Every fan goes on one isolated lash, which is what protects your natural lashes.
What is the difference between volume and hybrid lashes?
A Hybrid set mixes classic single extensions with volume fans, about half and half, so it looks fuller than Classic but softer than Volume. A Volume set uses fans across the whole lash line for maximum fluffiness. Both are $130 at our studio.
How often do I need a volume fill and how much is it?
Every 2-3 weeks. A Volume fill is $45 at 1 week, $90 at 2 weeks and $110 at 3 weeks. The sooner you come in, the less it costs, because there are fewer fans to rebuild.
Are volume lashes good for sparse lashes?
Often, yes. Each fan covers more space than a single classic extension, so Volume can make a sparse lash line look full. At the consultation we check your natural lashes and adjust fan size so the set stays comfortable and safe for them.
